Born in Barcelona, Marga is a visual artist who began her career in photography and graphic design before turning her full focus to painting. For her, this shift was a natural progression—a new way to filter the world and deepen her expression. Her technique has been refined through training at international art academies, such as the Barcelona Academy of Art and Studio Escalier, and by working in the studios of master painters. Each experience has inspired her and taught her a different perspective.
My work explores the intersection of thought and emotion, connecting the abstract with the physical. I use color and texture to expose the fragility of the human condition. My paintings portray characters in silence, lost in introspection. Through my brushwork, I reveal the intrusion of thoughts onto the canvas, making visible the emotional history that lives just beneath the skin.
I was so honored to win the 2025 International Painting Prize at the Toolip Art Gallery in Vienna, which currently features a selection of my work.
